Troubleshooting

App Not Scanning Photos

Make sure LuminaClean has permission to access your photo library. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos on your iPhone and set LuminaClean to Full Access. If the scan seems stuck, try closing and reopening the app. For very large libraries (10,000+ photos), the initial scan may take a few minutes.

Storage Not Updating After Deleting Photos

After deleting photos through LuminaClean, they are moved to the Recently Deleted album in the Photos app. Storage is not fully reclaimed until those photos are permanently deleted. Open Photos > Albums > Recently Deleted and tap Delete All to free up space immediately. It may also take a few minutes for iOS to recalculate storage usage.

iCloud Sync Issues

If iCloud Photos is enabled, LuminaClean works with both local and iCloud-synced images. Make sure your device is connected to Wi-Fi so iCloud can download full-resolution photos for scanning. If some photos appear missing, go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Photos and ensure Download and Keep Originals is selected, or allow time for thumbnails to sync. Deleting photos in LuminaClean will also remove them from iCloud after the next sync.
